Husband killed his wife ?The court acquitted the accused.
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court rejected the appeals of the husband and Dewar against the sentence for the murder of his wife and declared the sentences null and void.
The Sindh High Court heard the appeals against the sentence on behalf of the husband and brothers-in-law in the woman's murder case, in which the court accepted the appeals of the appellants and acquitted the husband and one brother-in-law of the murdered woman.
The court rejected the appeal of Kamran, the third accused in the case and brother-in-law of the deceased, and ordered him to be transferred to a psychiatric hospital for being mentally ill.
The Sindh High Court said in its decision that according to the record, the accused Kamran is suffering from schizophrenia, the accused needs constant treatment and care.
The High Court ruled that the prosecution failed to prove the charges against accused Rizwan and Imran.
The sessions court had sentenced the three accused brothers to life imprisonment and fine for the murder of the woman.
