Chief Minister Punjab orders to provide bullet proof vehicles, jackets and special training to the police
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has ordered to give bullet proof jackets and vehicles to police personnel.
A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, in which the chief minister directed police officers to make fool-proof security arrangements on Eid Milad-ul-Nabi and to meet the scholars.
In the meeting, a proposal to increase the number of provincial border posts came out, while on this occasion, the Chief Minister also ordered to give bullet-proof vehicles and bullet-proof jackets to the police personnel immediately. Approval was also given.
Maryam Nawaz also ordered to give special training to the police personnel posted at the border posts, to strengthen and improve the border security check posts and to speed up the campaign to eliminate illegal weapons.
In the meeting, it was also decided to ban the use of social media by on-duty police personnel.
Chief Minister Punjab said that whatever needs to be done for the protection of the people will be done, action should be taken against criminals and anti-social elements without discrimination, the police should develop the capability of pre-emptive action without waiting for the crime to be committed.
Maryam Nawaz said that those who attack the police check posts should be given a strong response so that they do not dare to attack in the future, police patrolling should be arranged between the police check posts.
