21 terrorists killed, 14 security personnel killed in Balochistan: ISPR
Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) says that on the night of August 25 and 26, terrorists tried to carry out several heinous activities in Balochistan.
According to the statement issued by the ISPR on Monday, the aim of these terrorist attacks on the enemy and hostile forces is to target the innocent citizens in the districts of Musikhel, Kalat and Lasbela and disrupt the peaceful environment of the province. It was to spoil and stop the development of Balochistan.
The statement added that many civilians have been martyred as a result of these attacks.
ISPR says that in Rara Sham area of Musakhel district, terrorists stopped the bus and targeted innocent civilians who were doing hard labor in Balochistan.
The security forces and law enforcement agencies promptly responded to these terrorist attacks and foiled the nefarious intentions of the terrorists and killed 21 terrorists in clearance operations and ensured the safety and security of the local people.
"However, during these operations, 14 sons of the country lost their lives fighting Bahadi, including 10 soldiers and four law enforcement officials.
The statement said that 'sanitization operations are currently underway and those who perpetrated, instigated, facilitated and aided these dastardly acts will be brought to justice.'
According to ISPR, the security forces and law enforcement agencies are committed to thwarting the efforts of those who disrupt the peace and order situation in Balochistan and prevent stability and development alongside the nation.
It should be noted that in Balochistan, the number of people killed in simultaneous attacks by armed persons at different places of the province has increased to 38.
In late-night attacks in Balochistan, gunmen also blew up a railway bridge and set fire to more than a dozen vehicles.
According to officials, between Sunday and Monday night, the militants carried out major attacks simultaneously in Musakhel, Mastung, Kalat, Lasbela, Kachhi and Gwadar in which Levies, police stations, security forces camps and government properties were targeted.
Dozens of attackers also attacked Quetta Karachi, Quetta Dera Ghazi Khan and Quetta Sukkur highways.
They blocked the roads and stopped the vehicles and searched, due to which the main highways of the province remained closed for traffic throughout the night.
