According to the police, a mudslide fell on a house in Patrak area in Dir Bala as a result of which 2 women, one man and 9 children lost their lives, all the dead people belong to the same family.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police and rescue teams reached the spot, the bodies were removed from the wreckage and shifted to the hospital.

The administration says that due to rain and darkness at night, difficulties were faced in the rescue operation.

Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the death of 12 people due to landslides in Deerbala, while expressing his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased.

Yusuf Raza Gilani said that he is an equal participant in the grief and sorrow of the victims.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur also expressed his condolences on the recent incident.

Expressing regret over the incident, the Chief Minister announced financial assistance for the heirs and said that he was deeply shocked to hear the tragic incident, and shared the grief of the bereaved.
